Why we exist
For the families who were never supposed to find out
For many families, the family tree has a wall. It might be a town whose name was only ever spoken, never written. It might be a great-grandparent who arrived alone, the rest of the family simply gone. It might be silence — a generation that chose, understandably, not to look back.
The records that could answer those questions exist. They are scattered across genealogical archives, ship manifests, town registers, open databases, and ancient-DNA datasets in a dozen languages. Finding them takes years of patient work that most families will never have the time or the heart to do.
We built MyJournies so you don’t have to. You upload a DNA kit or a family tree. We do the research — consolidating your DNA across vendors, the archival search, the cross-referencing of records — and we return a narrative where every factual sentence traces to a real source. Never guessed. Never invented.
